my first quilt
The journey of making a quilt is a testament to patience, planning, and unwavering faith in one's skills. From the initial stages of organizing and creating to the final stitches, the process is a labor of love that culminates in deeply gratifying results.
I recently completed (Nov 17, 2024) my first quilt after eight months of dedicated handiwork. Amidst the meticulous crafting, I also embraced life's various moments – from travels to Spain, organizing a memorable 60th birthday celebration, to visiting family in Puerto Rico. However, amidst these joys, there were also moments of sorrow, like the passing of my mother, and the demands of work, all weaving together to form the tapestry of my life.
Engaging in a hobby like quilting not only offers a creative outlet but serves as a beacon of continuity amid life's ebbs and flows. It provides solace and a sense of fulfillment, enriching the fabric of one's existence with each carefully stitched piece.
